Getting There    Visa Application    Weather    Travel Tips

To minimize the perceived threat to Bhutan’s unique culture, the government has established a stringent set of regulations regarding tourism, which means all tourists must travel on a pre-arranged itinerary through a certified tour company.  All visa applications must be channeled through the Department of Tourism (DOT) by the tour operator.

Your visa has to be approved prior to air ticketing and your arrival in Bhutan.  Once you are ready to confirm your tour arrangements, we will then apply for your visa.  The following details are required for the Visa application form:

1. Your full name (exactly as it appears in your passport)
2. Permanent address
3. Occupation
4. Nationality
5. Passport number
6. Date of issue and expiration of passport
7. Date and place of birth

Your Bhutan visa will be stamped in your passport only when you arrive in Bhutan.  You will have to pay US$20 cash upon arrival and present a passport photo with your passport number written on the back.  We can process visa extensions for you if necessary.
